About Clear Minds Brave Hearts Counseling

I founded Clear Minds Brave Hearts Counseling, LLC with the intent to help individuals find more purpose, ease, and alignment in their lives. The name was inspired by the mantra from the football coach in Friday Night Lights: “Clear Eyes, Full Hearts, Can’t Lose." Having a focused mind and courageous spirit will lead you toward your path of success and allow you to be unstoppable, especially in times of tribulation, uncertainty, and pain.

I have a specialty in working with current and former student-athletes, particularly athletes who struggle with anxiety, perfectionist tendencies and disordered eating. As a former high school and collegiate student-athlete and current high school sports coach, I have firsthand experience with the challenges of balancing various school, sports, and life commitments. In my professional work, I help current and former student-athletes break down feelings of shame, perfectionism, and anxiety and view themselves through a holistic and empowered lens.

A path forward.

I believe that we all hold the capacity to change and to live authentically, but sometimes we get stuck in the process and need the guidance and support to help uncover what's holding us back. Among other reasons, I think we may experience this feeling of "stuckness" when we are living out of alignment with our values and are instead living through the lens of society or trying to live up to old expectations or ones that were never ours to begin with.

I am passionate about helping people deconstruct narratives that no longer serve them and work toward living a life in alignment with their authentic values, dreams and purpose. We all deserve to walk the path of self-empowerment. In my work with you, I will help you unpack feelings of shame, anxiety, and disconnect while bringing healing and wholeness into your life.
